Xavier Catholic Schools to Remodel Existing Toyota Financial Services Building to Serve as Consolidated Middle School

Formerly the Xavier High School Foundation, the Xavier Catholic Schools Foundation will now lead fundraising efforts for all Catholic early learning centers (ELCs) and PK-12 Catholic schools in the Cedar Rapids/Marion metro area.

St. Joseph School will be dismissing at 12:40 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 27 due to the extreme heat and AC system unable to keep the school portion of the building sufficiently cool (ELC/Childcare will operate as normal as AC in that area is separate and sufficient to keep the space cool). Lunch will be served. No after-school activities at St. Joseph's.

We are aware of recent changes to schedules from other area metro schools due to the heatwave. Xavier Catholic Schools facilities (schools and early learning centers) will be open as normal on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024. Please know that we do not take this decision lightly and have plans in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Families who enroll their eligible children in any Xavier Catholic Schools will receive over $7,600 per child for the 2024-2025 school year.

Two familiar faces to many in our Catholic school family will be serving as administrative assistants in the XCS Central Office starting with the 2024-2025 school year. Melissa Sadilek returns to Xavier Catholic Schools and Kelly Nachman joins the staff from Regis Middle School.

Xavier Catholic Schools has named the six individuals who will serve at the director level at the central office for the Xavier Catholic School System starting with the 2024-2025 school year. These positions include Director of Catholicity, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, Director of Early Childhood, Director of Enrollment, Director of Communication, and Controller.
