Scott Dorrity reflects on his family's Catholic school expeirence ... specifically at All Saints Elementary.
Our family chose to send our children to Catholic school because we felt the smaller class sizes would provide more individualized attention. We also wanted consistent religious education worked in to the curriculum with the academic education to help us instill those good Catholic values in our children. All Saints has delivered that and more. The administration, staff and teachers care about our kids. They care about more than just their education. They serve as great role models for the kids and help us raise them to show respect. We love that our kids come home talking about God and actively engage us in conversations about responsible behavior.
We did not expect, and have been pleasantly surprised, to get involved in such an amazing community of families that actively espouses those values. In any event or activity our children participate in we know that those values are being practiced. Sharing the same beliefs has created such a tight knit group and we know the families our kids spend time with will help us raise them to be good people and to do good. It takes a village.
