Dear Xavier Catholic School families,
As our community continues to come together and get back on track following the August 10th storm, our administrators have been assessing the situations at their individual schools and collaborating to determine a start date for the 2020-2021 school year. We count our blessings that our schools did not receive significant damage and while the start to our year will be slightly delayed, we are excited to return our students to the learning environment very soon!
With power and internet access coupled with structural damage different at each site, start dates at our Xavier Catholic Schools will be as follows:
August 31
September 1
September 3 & 4 (half days) September 8 (full day)
September 8
The minor delays afford us necessary time to help us prepare our buildings and our teachers to prepare for the school year and for the full implementation of our Return to Learn plans, so we can get our children safely back to learning! We also know that internet connectivity may remain an issue for some families in our community. Please reach out to your building administrator if families will be needing help for their internet connection and we will be working with families with connectivity issues to help deliver internet access to them.
A reminder that all our school’s Return to Learn Plans can be viewed here: https://crxaviercatholicschools.org/rtl
We ask for God’s healing grace upon those who continue to feel pain following the storm and for His blessing upon our Xavier Catholic School family as we begin our year over the next several weeks.
Yours in Christ,
Heather Williams, Principal, Holy Family/St. Jude
