Holy Family Re-Branding as "LaSalle Catholic"

Xavier Catholic Schools' elementary and middle school on the west side of Cedar Rapids will now be referred to as "LaSalle Catholic." Formerly "Holy Family Catholic School System," the name change is a result of strategic planning, collaboration, and feedback. LaSalle Catholic is supported by partner parishes of St. Jude, St. John XXIII, St. Patrick, and St. Ludmila. 

This year, you helped us discern a possible name shift. With the goal of strengthening and sustaining the identity of Catholic education on the west side of town, we are excited to announce that the school board did approve a change of names for us. Starting July 1, 2021 instead of Holy Family School System, we will identify as LaSalle Catholic. The two schools will be LaSalle Catholic Middle School and LaSalle Catholic Elementary School. You will notice updates to our signage that will brighten the campus and celebrate our identity.
