Dear Xavier Catholic Schools families,
As our community takes its first steps to rebuilding following the devastation inflicted by the August 10th storm, we continue to pray for the many whose lives have been impacted by this disaster.
While our Xavier Catholic Schools facilities have sustained some damage from the storm, we count our blessings that our primary issue is power and connectivity/internet access at this time. Xavier Catholic Schools administrators have collaborated to determine that we will postpone our start date for the 2020-2021 school year. The two dates being considered for a start date are August 31st and September 8th. We will provide families with an update on start date on or before August 24th. A delayed start date will allow for the following:
Childcare: Childcare services are currently closed at all Xavier Catholic Schools. Families can expect to hear from our individual early childhood centers regarding the re-opening of childcare.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and helping hands that have already helped our schools get back on track. Volunteer opportunities remain at our school sites. Dates/times/locations for volunteers can be found at https://crxaviercatholicschools.org/news/volunteers-needed. If you would like to help other community members (or need help) please contact Liz Donner, Xavier High School Counselor, at [email protected], as she is helping to coordinate additional volunteer efforts among XCS families.
We ask for God’s continued blessing on you and our entire Xavier Catholic Schools family of faith!
Yours in Christ,
Heather Williams, Principal, Holy Family/St. Jude
